The MEIM Program recognizes that classroom instruction can only take you so far, and that the best learning opportunities are those that require you to apply your knowledge and skills to real world issues. That's the basis of the capstone project -- it will help you solidify the skills and knowledge you gained the classroom. The capstone project will be along the lines of a traditional thesis, but more as "applied research" than pure scholarship. It is designed to offer you the chance to apply your analytical and pratical skills on a specific concept or issue, addressing and deepening your understanding of the opportunities, challenges and issues the industry faces on a daily basis.
